WHAT TO EXPECT

TYPICAL DAY:

We’ll pick a boat ramp along the Forgotten Coast that offers the best available fishing conditions. Capt. Danielle will reach out the day prior to our trip to arrange a meeting time and location. Depending on the season and your goals, the day may include poling oyster and grass flats in quiet back estuaries, sightfishing Tripletail in Apalachicola Bay, or tracking cruising fish on the beautiful gulfside beaches.

BOAT & EQUIPMENT:

Capt. Danielle now operates a top-quality skiff, the Hells Bay Marathon, expertly designed to handle the diverse demands of the Apalachicola estuary system. This versatile skiff is adept at navigating both shallow waters and rough bay chop, making it ideal for targeting fish in various environments—from the Gulf beaches to deep into Apalachicola Bay. Outfitted with premium safety and fishing equipment, the boat features TFO’s flagship Axiom II-X Rods paired with BVK reels and Rio lines of various weights for consistent performance. Hand-tied select flies, high-quality fluorocarbon leader, and all necessary tackle will be provided to ensure your success. For more details on the equipment we use, please visit The Gear page for more info on the equipment we will be using!

WHAT TO BRING:

A full day on the water here on the Gulf Coast can be magical if you come prepared, or miserable if you don’t. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and something comfortable taking the forecasted conditions into consideration. We highly recommend long sleeve wicking sun shirts, and wicking shorts; even in the heat of summer you will find Capt. Danielle in full pants and a long sleeve shirt to protect from the sun. If you have a lightweight rain jacket, bring it along, afternoon showers are common along the Gulf Coast particularly in summer months. Polarized sunglasses are an essential tool when sight fishing, Danielle has Costa Del Mar sunglasses for you to try out so you can see the difference! Danielle will provide plenty of water in reusable water bottles. Consider bringing a light snack for half day trips if you think you might get hangry. Plastic water bottles are highly discouraged. An iced cooler will be ready to go if you have any items that need to be kept cold.

CANCELLATION POLICY & PAYMENT:

All payments for guide services can be made through our Fishing Chaos booking platform on the Book A Trip page. Other forms of payment including cash, check, and Venmo can be accommodated as needed. Deposits for all trips and experiences are 50%. Cancelations outside of 30 days prior to your trip date will be provided a full refund. Cancelations inside of 30 days will be refunded only if Danielle can rebook your date.
